EHR & EMR integration

EHR and EMR integration services

We connect your product to the EHR and EMR systems, labs, payers, and apps your users depend on, on HL7 and FHIR, so clean data flows in real time. Built for HIPAA, delivered by a team that stays.

What we integrate

EMR integration across your whole stack

From a single EHR interface to a connected platform, we build the integrations that move clinical and administrative data cleanly and securely.

EHR and EMR systems

Read and write patient, scheduling, orders, and clinical data through HL7 v2 and FHIR, in real time and both directions.

Labs and diagnostics

Orders and results between providers, labs, and LIS, so clinicians get structured results without manual entry.

Payers and clearinghouses

Real-time eligibility, claims, and remittance so billing moves faster with fewer denials.

Apps, devices and telehealth

Connect mobile apps, remote monitoring devices, and telehealth to the record through modern APIs.

Interface engines

Design, migrate, and maintain interfaces on Mirth Connect and Rhapsody, including legacy HL7 feeds.

Data, analytics and reporting

Aggregate integrated data into clean, governed pipelines ready for dashboards, quality measures, and AI.

Standards

Built on the standards, secured for HIPAA

We work to the healthcare data standards your systems and regulators expect, with security designed in from the start.

How we work

A predictable path to a live integration

No open-ended R&D. You know the scope, the cost, and what happens at each stage before we write a line of code.

1

Discovery & scope

We map your systems, data, and vendor requirements like Epic or Cerner program access, then hand you a fixed scope and timeline.

You get a fixed quote
2

Interface design

We design the data model, HL7 and FHIR mappings, patient-identity matching, and error handling, and sign it off with your team.

An agreed spec
3

Build & connect

We build the interfaces with security, logging, and retries, connected to test environments so nothing touches your live systems.

No disruption
4

Validate & go live

We test on your real data, run in parallel with existing workflows, and cut over with a rollback plan, so go-live is controlled.

Go-live with rollback
5

Monitor & maintain

We watch uptime, data accuracy, and errors in production, and keep the interface working as EHRs upgrade and standards change.

FAQ

EHR and EMR integration, answered

How long does an EHR or EMR integration take, and what drives the cost?

It depends on the systems and data. A single-system FHIR interface can go live in weeks; a multi-system build with identity matching is a larger program. Cost tracks the number of systems, the standards involved, and how clean your data is. We scope it in a short assessment first, so you get a real number instead of a guess.

Do we need Epic's or Cerner's approval to integrate?

Usually, yes. Connecting to Epic or Oracle Health (Cerner) means working within their vendor and developer programs and credentialing. We handle that technical side within their programs, so their requirements are planned for up front rather than derailing your timeline.

HL7 v2 or FHIR, which do we need?

Most real environments need both. HL7 v2 still carries events like admissions, orders, and results across clinical systems, while FHIR is the modern API standard for discrete data and app access. We build across both and bridge between them where needed.

Will connecting to our EHR disrupt the systems clinicians use?

No. We connect through supported interfaces and test against non-production environments first, so the live systems your teams rely on keep running while we build and validate the integration.

How do you keep patient data secure and HIPAA compliant?

We encrypt data in transit and at rest, scope and audit every access, and design each interface to meet HIPAA and your security requirements from the start. Security is part of the build, not a step at the end.

Which EHR and EMR systems and interface engines do you support?

Epic, Oracle Health (Cerner), athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, and others, plus labs, payers, and revenue cycle systems. We also work on interface engines including Mirth Connect and Rhapsody for legacy and high-volume HL7 integration.
